mission

Inspire. Inform. Enable.

The Scott Rigsby Foundation (SRF) is dedicated to inspiring, informing and enabling individuals with physical challenges due to loss of limb or mobility, to live an active lifestyle.

Our primary goal is to promote the health and fitness of physically challenged individuals by improving access to proper prosthesis equipment and resources, while advancing prosthetic technology and improving the Prosthetic and Orthotic (P&O) care network.  Through this process, we also hope to inspire thousands of able-bodied adults and youth to pursue better health and wellness as a means of preventing loss of limb and mobility.  Our desire is to motivate individuals to set high goals, overcome certain obstacles, and to cross their own personal finish lines.

We will achieve this goal by leveraging our services with those of our partners and volunteers to establish a seamless network of health and wellness resources, groundbreaking P&O research and technology, and improved patient care methods.  The results of our efforts will:

  1. Allow the physically challenged individuals we support to be fully integrated into their communities with improved health, self-sufficiency, self-esteem, self-confidence as well as the right tools to pursue an active lifestyle - not only an active lifestyle but a lifestyle which includes formerly ‘unthinkable' fitness goals.
  2. Inspire children suffering loss of limb or loss of mobility worldwide to chase their dreams.  They'll be equipped with the proper prosthesis and orthotics, gain access to community care systems and be able to participate in youth fitness programs.
  3. Provide resources to wounded U.S. warriors returning from Iraq and Afghanistan in order to support the transition plan to their "new normal" and assist with their P&O care.  They will be inspired and challenge themselves to achieve their life, career and athletic goals.
